Because no more than one Arlyn Award may be presented in each
competition, in 2004 the Board of Directors initiated the Commendation
for Design in the Puppet Theatre to recognize other exciting
production designs and to
encourage the recipients
to continue to refine their
design skills to create
"truly outstanding" work.
All entries remaining into the final round of judging are presented with the Commendation for Design in the Puppet Theatre.
